This has been very interesting; I didn’t realize you can tell a lot about people with such an easy and simple question WHAT IS YOUR WOW BRAND

I had people that got so lost with the question that they draw a complete blank and couldn’t come up with an answer even when I pushed harder and harder to get an answer, all they could say where brands that they are aware about top of mind and based their choice on functional attributes of the brand and couldn’t dig into the emotional side or the link that they have with any given brand:

Mayar a 25 year old Female likes BMW because it has a lot of functional benefits, sophisticated style, and super premium image, valued by consumer’s world wide!!! When I asked her to tell me the emotional connection she has for the brand. She told me I don’t understand the question!!!

Karim a 28 year old Male likes Audi because it’s very reliable, looks good and talks about success

Issmail a 29 year old Male likes Cannon because it has consistent quality, always delivers, and has the best lens ever


Some other people started talking very passionately about their brands of choice you could see that they related to their brands and that it made them feel special about themselves, some said that it always put them in a good mood, proud, satisfied, sexy, confident I mean the emotional links with their brands went on forever

Rosy a 28 year old Female her WOW brand on earth is Victoria secret it made her feel sexy, seductive, strong, confident, fierce and irresistible

Bassel a 27 year old Male his WOW brand is Mini Cooper JCW, even though he still doesn’t own one, but he’s so in love with the dream of it, he told me that he can picture himself driving it and the way it will make him feel is that he is above everything else. He knows all the facts about the engine size the suspension the driving experience because he went and did a test drive, but also he knows the history of the brand ever since it started racing in England back in the 60’s. He went on to the extent of saying before buying one he wants to learn how to work on it so that he doesn’t want to go to a mechanic to fix it, he wants to do it himself !!!!!


Something that was also very interesting for me was to find out that a brand can become a WOW brand for a consumer without doing anything about it!!!!!

Amal a 32 year old Female, her WOW brand is Rolex not because of anything of what the brand stands for “I’m sure the prestigious element did helpJ”, because her husband bought her the watch when she delivered their twins and ever since Rolex stands for her something very emotional to her and she is in love with the brand because what it relates to in her mind
